Dr Sanj is Bayview Orthodontics' Principal Orthodontist. Sanj grew up in Perth and graduated high school at Christ Church Grammar School in Claremont. He had a strong desire to work in health, which led him to study dentistry at the University of Adelaide, where he completed his degree in 1998.
After a brief stint working as a dentist in Perth, Sanj caught the travel bug and moved to the UK to work in private practice with an emphasis on children's dentistry. In 2007, Sanj returned to Australia to undertake specialist training in orthodontics at the University of Melbourne.
Sanj was awarded the 2010 John McDonald award by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. This is one of the world's most prestigious awards in orthodontics. Sanj was also awarded the 2010 Elsdon Storey research award by the Australian Society of Orthodontists for his research on dental decay around braces.
When not straightening teeth and looking after his young family, Dr Sanj is a big fan of all things beach. He is an avid diver, golfer and cricketer. He is also the current Vice President of the Freshwater Bay Primary School P&C. Sanj is the immediate past President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists WA branch.
